Arrival according to the international flight. Welcome by Madagascar team and transfer to your hotel and accommodation for resting and overnight.
Departure from the hotel at approximately 8:30 AM for a full-day guided exploration of Antananarivo. The tour begins with a discovery of the three distinct areas that define the city: the upper town, middle town, and lower town, each showcasing a unique facet of Madagascar’s capital.
The morning includes a visit to the iconic former Queen’s Palace, an architectural marvel steeped in history, followed by an insightful tour of the adjacent museum. This experience provides a deep dive into the cultural and historical heritage of the Malagasy people. From the vantage points of the upper city, enjoy panoramic views of the bustling lower city, offering a striking contrast and a chance for memorable photographs.
Lunch can be enjoyed at a charming terrace restaurant, where you can savour local flavours while soaking in the vibrant ambiance of the city.
In the afternoon, the tour continues to the Rova of Ambohimanga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located to the north of the city. This sacred hill is an emblematic place of Malagasy history and tradition, surrounded by serene landscapes and offering a tranquil escape from the urban rhythm.
Return to the hotel by late afternoon, concluding a day rich in cultural discovery and guided by an experienced professional who will ensure an immersive and memorable experience.
Diego Suarez. According to flight schedule of almost two hours, arrival and welcome by your driver-guide and transfer to the lunch location.
After a short lunch time, departure for an historical aspect guided tour around the 3 mythical bays.
Diego Suarez, located on the northern coast of Madagascar, is a captivating tropical destination with a bounty of natural wonders and a vibrant cultural scene. Transfer to your hotel before the sunset and overnight.
After breakfast, by car, you will be driven to Joffre Ville in the southern part of Diego Suarez. Ambre Mountain National Park is one of the spotlights in the north. The dry savanna quickly gives way to evergreen forest, we’ll climb about 400 m above the sea level to reach this humid and refreshing area. After one hour we will arrive at the Amber Mountain National Park and start our visit. It’s an isolated rainforest and as such, the amount of endemicity in its flora and fauna is high. Distinctive features of the massif include four crater lakes and three much- photographed waterfalls. You will take your late lunch in one of these well-maintained cottages with a great view on the Famous Bay of Diego. In the afternoon, you exit the mountain around 03.30 p.m. Return to Diego and resting for the rest of the day.
Early departure to reach the Ankarana region and its outstanding and unique geological for- mation. The “Tsingy” are a karstic eroded limestone rock. This national park is one of the most famous places in Madagascar, it’s a must. Before reaching this area, we’ll make a detour at the Red Tsingy which is a unique panoramic scenery with an astonishing sample of colour. Then we head down to Anivorano and its sacred lake with sacred crocodiles, we’ll make a stop for under-standing the traditional belief of this region of Madagascar.
Dry deciduous forest is found in much of the reserve. Ankarana may have the highest density of primates of any forest in the world according to Bradt’s Madagascar Wildlife guidebook. Visitors may encounter the crowned lemur, Sanford’s brown lemur, Perrier’s black lemur, the northern sportive lemur and dwarf lemurs. A variety of chameleons and leaf-tailed geckos can also be found in the national park.
The hotel is located just at the exit of the national park.
In the dusk, before the dinner, you’ll do a night hike around the reserve for trying to spot some nature curiosities as the Mouse lemur or chameleons. In this area we can list around one dozen species. Overnight at the hotel.
This national park is one of the most famous places in Madagascar, it’s a must.
Ankarana Special Reserve is located about 108km south of Antsiranana (Diego Suarez) and covers 18,220ha. Ankarana is known for its limestone karst pinnacles called Tsingy along with its extensive cave system and network of underground rivers — some of which contains crocodiles.
You’ll be accompanied by a local guide which will explain you everything about this amazing place. You’ll explore iconic spots like the impressive Aven, enjoying the breathtaking overview of the Tsingy, and visiting the sacred Bat Cave. After that you’ll feel a deep connection to Madagascar’s natural and cultural heritage. To unwind, you can head back to the lodge, where you can relax by the pool, reflecting on the adventure and soaking in the serene ambiance of this unique region.
Early departure after breakfast and transfer by car to the coast to board a boat for the crossing to Nosy Be. Along the way, there will be a stop to visit a small local spice plantation featuring pepper, coffee, cocoa, or ylang-ylang. Upon arrival in Ankify, board a motorboat to reach the island of Nosy Be. A warm welcome upon arrival will be followed by a transfer to enjoy lunch in the city. The afternoon is dedicated to discovering the most remarkable sites of this beautiful island: the Marodoka district, one of the oldest areas of Nosy Be, the Banyan tree, the small dhow port, and ending at the covered market of Hell-Ville to wrap up this wonderful day. Finally, settle into your hotel for the night.
This day will be dedicated to the discovery of the islands around Nosy Be. Departure from the hotel by car and transfer to the port of Nosy Be. From here, you will take a boat to the first is- land, Nosy Komba or the lemur island. It contains a small local reserve which shelters lemurs and some reptiles. Back to the boat and direction to the second island which is a marine reserve. Nosy Tanihely is a small jewel of nature. Its sea beds are the most accessible in terms of observation. You will spend the rest of the day on this island. Possibility of snorkeling and a little relaxation on the beach. The meal will be served in the shade of the almond trees on the beach of the island reserve. An assortment of seasonal seafood will be offered. Return to Nosy Be at the end of the day and transfer to your hotel for the night.
Located 45 km southwest of Nosy Be, Nosy Iranja is the ultimate paradise island: two islets connected by a 1 km long sandbank, crystal-clear waters, and pristine white sandy beaches. This is truly a slice of heaven! Activities include whale watching (from July to October), encountering dolphins, snorkeling with turtles, relaxing on the white sandy beaches, and savouring an unforgettable experience in this idyllic setting. The meal will be served as a small buffet under the palm trees, offering an assortment of seasonal seafood. After lunch, enjoy a relaxing time and explore the charming village of Iranja before heading back to Nosy Be.
A relaxing morning before getting ready for the transfer to Nosy Be airport. You will have the opportunity to do some last-minute shopping before your return flight. Transfer to the airport with assistance for check-in.
